Sapporo Asian Winter Games Art GuideFlyer
Asian Winter Games
The 8th Asian Winter Games was hosted in Sapporo, and along with the sporting, came many art events. We created a flyer written in 4 different languages so that international guests and locals alike could navigate the events.
In Japanese, a snow-covered landscape is sometimes referred to as ginsekai (silver world). The blue of the Sapporo sky and the neon passion of athletes unite on this silver background. The underscore elements throughout the design represent the length of each event. The inner pages are organized events by row and languages by column so that the information is easy to read. Icons are used as a nod to the Tokyo Olympics, the first sporting event to use iconography.
